Instituto de Design de Guimarães
The Master's in Product and Service Design together with the
Degree in Product Design, from the School of Architecture, Art and Design of
the University of Minho, will promote the 1st Product and Service Design
Symposium in Portugal, which will take place on the Campus de Couros, Guimarães
Design Institute (IDEGUI), in Guimarães, on February 12, 2025.
This event aims to provide an opportunity for students, academics,
and professionals from the Product Design and/or Services industry to come
together, reflect on the guidelines of what is best thought and designed in
Portugal, the best practices and innovations developed, and identify
opportunities collaboration and new areas of professional activity,
highlighting design as a driver of innovation and competitiveness.
Prof. Doctor Paulo Cruz, President of the School of Architecture,
Art and Design at the University of Minho, will hold the opening session.
Prominent national designers will speak: Fernando Brízio (Fernando Brízio
Atelier), Filipe Lima (Deus Mónica Braga dos Santos (Mónica Santos Studio), and
Carlos Mello (Main Guilty company).company), João Martins (Flama company),
Mónica Braga dos Santos (Mónica Santos Studio); Carlos Mello (Main Guilty
company).
This initiative is organized by Sílvia Soares (General
Coordination and Curatorship) and Eduardo Noronha. It will take place from 2 to
5:30 p.m. and is free to access.
