Garagem Avenida - Guimarães
On January
18, at 3pm, room SD1 at Garagem Avenida will host the launch of the book
"Deindustrialisation, still. Visual essays and artistic
methodologies" by Inês Moreira, Beatriz Duarte and Flora Paim, published
by Lab2PT.
Deindustrialisation,
Still brings
together visual essays that look at industrial landscapes, their heritage and
representations as objects of artistic research. The profound complexity of
these places invites inventive approaches, developed both through research
based on artistic methods and investigative artistic creation. Oscillating
between post- and de-industrialisation, the authors start from specific sites
to experiment with different approaches to the past and return other narratives
and memories to the places.
