As part of
the Interreg Green Gap project, the University of Minho is promoting two
events: the face-to-face course "Valuing ecosystem services: tools and
strategies for local administration", which will take place on 26 and 27
June in the morning; and the hybrid colloquium "Importance of Urban
Biodiversity", which will take place on 26 June in the afternoon. The
initiatives take place at the School of Architecture, Art and Design, in
building 09, on the Azurém Campus in Guimarães.
Participation
in the initiatives is free, but subject to prior registration using the form https://forms.gle/BpvSGNBfE1Dmc7Bh7.
The
activities are aimed at students, professionals and those interested in
sustainable urban planning, with the aim of promoting more resilient and
biodiverse cities. The course and colloquium are part of the Green Gap Academy
and feature experts in the field. They are linked to the workshop
‘Renaturalisation of urban rivers - the living laboratory of the Selho River’,
organised by the Landscape Laboratory, on 27 June in the afternoon, also
subject to registration.
