3/12/2026 - 3/15/2026
The School of Architecture, Art and Design is
once again teaming up with UNCOVER—a festival created by Gerador in partnership
with the Guimarães City Council. The event explores the power of imagery as a
tool for shaping perceptions.
The 2026 program,
taking place in Guimarães from March 12th to 15th, features rapper Capicua with
an exclusive presentation on the social perception of women in times of
democratic threat; Italian philosopher Franco Berardi, hosting a masterclass on
how populist discourse instrumentalizes images; perception specialist Bobby
Duffy, presenting the first-ever study on reality and perception in Portugal;
and Natalia Sliwinska, a researcher from Forensic Architecture, a project
renowned for investigating violence through visual data.
It will be four days of
masterclasses, talks, workshops, exhibitions, performances, and community
initiatives designed to spark collective thinking in a relaxed atmosphere,
offering plenty of chances to meet the speakers and network with other
participants.
