The 2026 edition of "Verão no Campus" (Summer on Campus) runs
from July 20th to 24th, inviting 9th-grade and high school students to live a
unique experience at the University!
Its goal
is to promote collaboration and mutual trust through a diverse set of
recreational and educational initiatives. With the constant support of UMinho
professors, researchers, and students—acting as mentors or "UMinho
Godparents"—participants have the opportunity to explore different
scientific fields, combining knowledge with entertainment and vocational
guidance.

Activity:
Since the
dawn of humanity, we have shaped handfuls of earth. Mud, loam, and clay
accompany and tell our history. It was on clay that the first written records
were accidentally engraved after a fire. With it, we built shelters, modeled
vessels, and represented ourselves and our cosmogonies. Today, it remains a
link between architecture, art, and design. Come explore the potential of this
moldable material and its contemporary applications. Create with us from
the earth.
