As part of
the Atelier Integrado curricular unit, of the Integrated Master's Degree
in Architecture, which in 2025/2026 will focus on the theme “Degrowth and
Architecture,” the second seminar session will take place on Monday, September
29. Starting at 2:00 p.m., Tiago Ascensão will give a lecture entitled “Doing
Not Doing” in Auditorium 2 of the EAAD.
Tiago
Ascensão is an architect, researcher at Lab2PT, and doctoral student at EAAD.
His research explores the intersection between art theory and the principles of
sustainability, focusing on the use of the artistic concept of Ready-Made as a
possible approach to architectural practice. He holds a master's degree in
Architecture from FAUP and also studied at UdK and TU Berlin. He was editor of
the “Dédalo 2017” project and contributed to the “Prática(s) de Arquitetura”
research project. He co-founded the ORA Collective, which emphasizes reality
through ephemeral installations. He is a member of the FIELD collective, which
investigates the relationship between architecture, society, and territory
through artistic research.
